I wandered along the embankment this afternoon and realised that I seemed to have missed autumn! There are hardly any leaves left on the trees and those that have fallen are now just a brown mess on the ground. The long grass on the embankment has been cut and trees have been thinned out in places. It feels as if it's all been put to bed for the winter. This picture was taken a few weeks ago. I see a few people just enjoying the expansive view of Leicestershire that the summit provides.
